I go through the weirdest weekly cycle. I start with Monday being my really motivated day. It's the day I do laundry, cleaning and running any needed errands. Tuesday is usually my catch up on slower things day. Things like making lists of things I want to accomplish that week/month and just random projects. Wednesday and Thursday are more unpredictable. Errands and just what I want to get done. But by Thursday/Friday I just really miss Zac and have a harder time feeling really motivated.

I keep trying to come up with ideas to get me through the end of the week. Like the library or things that get me out but where I don't have to spend money. I love being at home with Owen and I really feel like it's a blessing, but by the end of the week I just have a rough time. It's just almost funny, because at the beginning of the week, I feel like the days don't have enough hours, but by the end I just can't wait for it to be the weekend. It can't get here fast enough. I think I just need to figure out something that makes the end of the week go faster and not so challenging.

Sweet Assurances

Owen absolutely loves a blanket that I got from my sister a few years ago and so we thought we would make him one for Christmas. He loves it. He wraps himself up and then laughs, cuddles with it, and hardly ever sleeps without it. He will pick up one corner of it and drag it all around the house and then when it slips out of his hands, he looks at me like "why did you do that?" We love him sooooo much!

I need some input

I am working on a few goals that I made with the new year, and one of them was to organize my food storage. I have made a list of everything that I have, but I would like to make some sort of inventory list so that I can keep better track of when I am running low on something. I was wondering if anyone has come across this before or if you have heard of anything that works. I am open to any suggestions.

A much needed day off...

Zac had yesterday off of work and so we decided to go the fun park here in Logan. Owen was so cute! He playing in the big toy they had there, but he was a little nervous at first with all the kids running around so fast. He really liked crawling through the tubes once he tried it, and then he really surprised me when he climbed up some of the bigger steps. I would try and hold his hand when he walked from platform to platform, but he was determined to do it by himself. What a little grown up. They had arcade-type games there too and so he got so excited to be on the ones with a steering wheel and buttons. He tried it by himself and with daddy. We had such a great day! And then we all came home and took a nice long nap!!!!

Ready for Spring...

I have a good friend that always joked about being stuck inside during the winter and how excited she would get when it was warm enough to get out and go walking. I didn't realize how much I would agree until this winter. I love being able to catch up on house projects and personal projects, but there is nothing like fresh air. I love the winter and I think the snow is beautiful, but it does confine me more and make me feel anxious to get out. I never thought that I would be excited to go grocery shopping.

I think I'm ready to get out and enjoy the sun and the flowers and I think I have a few months to go yet. Oh well, I'm gonna get some scrapbooking and reading done while it's too cold to get out much and look forward to when I can go walking every day and have a social life again. :) Bring on the sun and good weather. I am ready!

One happy boy!

Caught a couple cute moments with Owen the last few days.

More work on the house...

Okay, so we decided to tear out a wall in the basement bedroom. It curved like an L and we took that part out to expand the room. We covered an exposed pipe as well as some duct work. We've done a lot of work and it's really coming along. We almost have the pantry finished with the exception of a few shelves. We've got 4 doors on our kitchen cabinets that need to go up and then that project's done too. I can't wait to get it all finished and enjoy the extra room.

Another week...

Well, we did it. We got through the first week back from vacation. The week went fast, and between the cleaning and the new book I got for Christmas, this week just flew by. Owen is walking all the time now and I love it. He actually isn't as fast walking as he is crawling, and so he is a little easier to keep up with (for now). Work on the basement is really coming along. Zacs been working on it at least 2 hours every night. He works so hard and I am really proud of what he has accomplished. We have almost all the doors on our cabinets back on. Some of them came out a little darker than we wanted and so we had to resand and restain them. Anyway, we are keeping busy and I am just really glad that the first week back went by fast.

Christmas

We went to Zac's parent's house for part of Christmas day and we have such a great time. It was so fun to watch the kids open their gifts. My mother-in-law is really talented and sewed the girls dresses and they got wings too, and the boys got Batman costumes with masks. They all got goggles too. So, these are a couple pictures of their excitement with their new gifts from grandma and grandpa.

We were with my family on Christmas eve and Christmas morning. We had so much fun there too. We went out to my Aunt Sylvia's for Christmas eve and played games and had a great dinner. It is a really fun tradition for our family and a great chance to see our cousins and their kids. I wish we got to see them more often, life is just crazy sometimes. We went to my parents afterwards and took it easy and just had fun. Christmas day was very entertaining and we had a great time. Ethan loves to give Owen kisses and Owen isn't sure what he thinks about it and so I have a few pictures like this one...

I loved watching Owen get excited about opening presents. He was sooooo cute!

Christmas means lots of neices and nephews and I love seeing how much they've grown up. This is Chelsie and Aubrey and they are adorable!!!!
