We had a great time watching the fireworks. We went with some of our favorites (Allen and Loreena and their kids) to campus, where we let the kids run and play and get some energy out in the play area and then rolled them down near the stadium, where we watched the fireworks. It was a lot of fun and we hope to do it every year!
My father in law is amazing! He has some horses that he loves to let the grandkids ride. Owen was a little mad about it at first and thus he got put in the backpack, but William thought it was awesome and had a great time. Owen eventually calmed down and had fun walking, but was still a little nervous about the horses. (Which we thought was weird, because the last time we rode the horses he LOVED it). Anyway, it was a fun day and we were grateful for Grandpa Cook for letting us borrow the horses for an afternoon.
A few weeks ago we attempted a little overnight camping trip with the boys and it was a lot of fun! I was a little hesitant at first, but we loved it. Owen thought the tent was the coolest and stayed in it almost the whole time, and William loved the hammock. What a goof! We also brought Gus and he did really well with staying close. What a great weekend with my beautiful family!
