A little vent mixed with pregnancy hormones

I decided that I need some female sympathy! Now don't get me wrong, I love being a mother and it is the best thing I could do with my life, but sometimes I feel like that's all I am. Like, sometimes I'm not sure how to be a normal social person. I enjoy getting out and doing things, but I don't know how to not be that obnoxious person that only talks about her kid. That's just where I am all day. I definitely don't feel like this every day, but sometimes life is just busy for Zac and I think, that stinks that you get to socialize at work and then do things at night.

I know this makes me sound bitter, but I am really not. I am so proud of how hard Zac works and how he provides for our family and allows me to be at home and watch Owen grow up, but I guess sometimes I feel a little jealous. Some days are so great and I feel blessed every second of the day. (90% of the time) and then there is that lousy 10% that makes me feel like I am just watching others live their lives...and then cleaning the house...again.

I think I just needed to get that out of my system and now I am going to feel crappy for a few hours and then go back to happy, optimistic Jenny and remember everything that I am grateful for. Some days I just need to feel crappy as weird as that may sound and then the next day is always better. Thank you for putting up with my venting! Tomorrow is a new day!!!

The Busiest Week Ever!!!!

Let me explain to you what my last week looked like. Zac had a training in Canada for work, so he left on Sunday morning (which meant me going solo with Owen at church) and Zac was gone until Wednesday afternoon. So, I went to Ogden for a couple of days to spent time with my sister and her adorable little one. We had a lot of fun!

I left Tuesday night so I could pack for the upcoming weekend. I got to spend about 2 hours with Zac and then I went to girls camp for the night. Then, I went back for the morning and then that afternoon we went to Pocatello so that Zac could go on a backpacking trip with his fam. He was gone for another 2 days and that meant going solo. I was very excited to have my husband back and have an extra set of eyes on Owen.

We headed back on Saturday night and got to run a couple of errands and then FINALLY relax. We both fell asleep around 9:30 and the next day felt pretty busy too. But, we made it!!! The craziest week ever is over and now it is on to cleaning the house, doing the laundry, grocery shopping, chasing my little one, and taking care of bills. Did I mention that my crazy week is supposed to be done. Bring it on!!!!

A day outside

A week or so ago we went to Pocatello for family things and Owen got to play outside with Daddy and Grandpa Cook. He loves being outside and exploring. He was pretty cute!!!!

One tired little guy!

I have been getting behind in my blogging and so this was a few weeks ago, but I am getting there.

It is amazing how much your life just stops when your little one is sick. These were taken a few weeks ago when he caught a virus. Now let me explain that it is very rare for my son to snuggle, however, he sat on my lap and barely moved for 3 and a half hours. He took 3 two hour naps during the day and then when Zac came home, we did a little trade off and he snuggled with Zac almost all the rest of the night.

Luckily, he started getting better after a day or two and was back to playing with toys and just being happy. As you can see from the pictures, he wore us out too. We are so glad he is back to his normal happy and energetic self.

Some seriously cute kiddos!

This is just a post to be clear that I love my nieces and nephews (both sides of the family). We got to see everyone fairly recently and I just couldn't get enough of them. And they are so good with Owen too. I couldn't ask for a better family!!!! I love these kiddos!!!!

I wish I had pictures of every one of them, but you can get the idea of how absolutely adorable they all are.
