We were nearing the end of the school year. Zac and I were excited to go to Owen's Life Skill's class's program. We had been to both the boys school programs with their classes (main stream), since they spend time in both classrooms. We went all together, hoping to watch a cute video and have a good day with our boys. Well, us being there is not part of Owen's routine and so instead of being excited to see us, like a lot of the other kids were, he threw a fit and we stood out in a group of special needs kids and their families.
Some things just sting more than others. This made for a really painful and emotional day, and luckily I have a wonderful husband that said "we should get out and go for a walk". Talk about following the spirit. We went together and the kids did great. We were able to step away from our lives and remember all that God has given us and how blessed we truly are. So grateful for a good husband and despite occasional setbacks, INCREDIBLE kids!!!!
